Radio KLAN

Radio Klan is a national private radio station in Tirana, Albania, and part of TV Klan media group - one of the biggest media groups in the country. Radio Klan airs music and as well, some of the shows of TV Klan. Radio Klan was founded by Aleksander Frangaj and started broadcasting in May 1997. The radio station became popular for its programs; “The Nights Klan'' directed by Arian Çani, the morning show directed by Aldon Lipe and the music program directed by Bojken Lako etc. With the launching of TV Klan, the radio began to lose its luster, becoming mostly a music channel. For almost two decades, Radio Klan has broadcasted through a regional license for the regions of Tirana, Durres, Fier and Vlora. In June 2020, a national private radio license was granted to Radio Klan by the Audiovisual Media Authority, AMA.

Aleksander Frangaj

a former journalist and media entrepreneur, who during the last years has expanded his business also in the field of construction and real estate. He is a co-founder of the daily newspaper Koha Jone, the first independent newspapers published after the fall of communism in Albania. In 1997 Frangaj founded a company Media 6 with two other businessmen, Julien Roche and Marsel Skendo. Frangaj owned 50% of the company, while his two partners owned 25% each. Media 6 published the weekly magazine Klan and launched the television station with the same name. In 2013, the name of the company was changed from Media 6 to TV Klan. To date, Frangaj owns 60%, while his wife Alba Gina owns 40% at TV Klan.
Although Radio Klan has always been part of the Frangaj’s media group, different owners appeared at the National Business Center. The company was first registered in 2009 by Florilda Bregu, who sold the shares to Pal Toma in 2015 for 200,000 ALL. In March 2021, Pal Toma sold its shares to TV Klan JSC for a price of 8 million ALL.
Over the years, Frangaj was involved in the establishment or acquisition of several other television stations in Albania, Kosovo and Macedonia, such as Klan Kosova, ABC News or Klan Macedonia, as well as initiating the paid platforms Satellite + in 2004 and Supersport in 2006, through shares owned by his wife. Today, his media group consists of TV Klan, Klan News, Klan Plus and Klan Macedonia as well as Radio Klan, while Gina owns 8% of the shares in the pay per view platform Digit-Alb.

Nora Klosi

the CEO of Radio Klan JSC since July 2020. She has been working at TV Klan for more than two decades as a coordinator and executive producer. Nora Klosi is the wife of Blendi Klosi, a socialist MP and former minister of the Environment. She also owns a private consulting company for marketing and art- design.
